I travel in pink

Links and Stories and Life #5

Since I belong to so many group chats, I often post links and stories that move me, that infuriate me and that inspire me. I often struggle to find those links again so I thought I could do a round-up of everything I read in a week.

The Other Sister – Such an interesting piece about siblings who will end up being caretakers.

Bridget Jones and the Millennial Workplace – I love Bridget Jones. She is hilarious, swears a lot and does whatever is she wants. I admire that in a person. Even a fictional one. I love this take on her.

What I Learned Tindering My Way Across Europe- I am strangely more confident with men when I travel. And I feel that I more successful as well. This author totally gets that. I love this piece.

52 Places to Go in 2017 – My favourite list to read. So glad Canada is at the top of the list!

36 Hours in Ottawa – My home! This made me so happy that New York Times covered Ottawa. I think it’s one of the best cities in Canada to live in and it is completely underrated. Those aren’t necessarily my choices for spending 36 hours here but it is a great way to see the city!

Bourdain on food, travel and politics – I love Anthony Bourdain and will read anything he writes. I love Parts Unknown and I am little jealous that he had good food in Cuba – I had terrible food! Also loved the episode of Istanbul.

Currently reading:

I loved watching the Crown. It was such a great show and it made me incredibly sympathetic to Princess Margaret. Thankfully, the year before I had bought her biography and so I have finally gotten around to reading it:
